Q: Can I do the Initial Test and my workout on the same day?
A: Yes, but it is not recommended. The Initial Test is a max effort, and doing another workout on the same day can increase fatigue and risk of injury. If you do them on the same day, the app will calculate your workout based on your Initial Test result. For best results, take the Initial Test on one day and start your workout the next training day.
Q: The app does not count my pushups automatically.
A: This is by design. The app requires you to manually enter your rep count via Digital Crown in test/AMRAP sets, or simply complete the displayed reps and tap in regular sets.
Q: The workouts are too hard. What can I do?
A: You can reset your level (see below) and start a new Initial Test. When entering your reps, try a number slightly below your actual max. This sets a lower level, making the workouts more manageable. The app will automatically raise your level as you get stronger through your weekly AMRAP performance.
Q: How do I reset my level?
A: On the Home screen, long press to see the Reset option. This will reset your level and allow you to retake the Initial Test.
Q: The rest timer is not counting down accurately.
A: Go to Apple Watch → Settings → Display & Brightness → Always On → Show Apps → Turn on Pushup Guide. This keeps the screen visible and the rest timer counting accurately.
Q: My calories are showing as 0 in the Health app.
A: Make sure you have granted all HealthKit permissions. Go to iPhone → Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Pushup Guide → Enable all categories.
